South Sinai Governorate raised the levels of preparedness in all cities of the governorate, in anticipation of rain falling on some cities, especially after the Meteorological Authority warned of a state of instability with rain falling on many governorates, and temperatures falling at night on the city of St. Catherine.
Raising levels of readiness
The Governor of South Sinai, Major General Khaled Mubarak, stressed city leaders to raise levels of full preparedness in anticipation of rain falling at any time.
The governor of South Sinai called for raising the readiness of the equipment and crews working on it, ensuring complete readiness, linking the cities’ operations rooms to the unified national network, and following up on the latest meteorological developments, the increase in air intensity and the weather changes witnessed in the cities of the governorate.
Weather fluctuations in South Sinai
The cities of the governorate are witnessing weather fluctuations, with temperatures continuing to rise during the day, but they change completely at night, especially the cities of St. Catherine, where temperatures in Catherine drop to less than 10 degrees, in addition to the cities of Ras Sidr, Nuweiba, Taba, Dahab, and Tur Sinai.
The Meteorological Authority warned of a state of instability in weather conditions and that many governorates will be exposed to moderate rain that may sometimes reach thunderstorms, lightning and thunder at night, and chances of light rain at night in the cities of the Canal and Sinai.
