The inflation rate rose last August, for the first time this year, as consumer prices were 2.2% higher compared to the same month last year.

It is noteworthy that there has been an increase in food prices for months, and some of them recorded a significant increase compared to the previous year, according to the German news agency “DPA”.

Consumers have also had to pay more for many services such as travel and visiting restaurants, as providers of these services add higher wage costs to their prices.

According to calculations of statisticians at the Federal Statistical Office, consumer prices rose from August to September of this year by a total of 0.2%.
