Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, affirmed the depth of the historical friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Federal Republic of Germany, and the constructive cooperation they characterize in various fields.
He praised the continuous development of bilateral relations that reflects the common interest in developing and strengthening them in a way that serves common interests, stressing the Kingdom’s aspiration to continue building on the positive progress achieved as a result of joint cooperation, and to move it towards broader horizons of partnership with friendly Germany.
This came during a meeting in his office at Gudaibiya Palace this morning with Mr. Hennig Georg Simon, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of his appointment as his country’s ambassador to the Kingdom, wishing him success in performing his diplomatic duties, which contributes to enhancing the prospects for cooperation between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the role played by German private sector institutions operating in the Kingdom of Bahrain in partnership with their local counterparts, and the qualitative addition they represent in the fields of infrastructure, industry, energy, logistics and technology services, indicating that the Kingdom welcomes more German investments to benefit from the attractive elements provided by the economic environment.
He also stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen the existing cultural and scientific cooperation with friendly Germany through exchanging academic and research experiences in a way that contributes to consolidating bridges of cultural communication between the two friendly peoples.
For his part, Mr. Hennig Georg Simon, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister for the warm reception, stressing his country’s keenness to continue working to develop the close cooperation relations that bring together the two friendly countries, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress, development and prosperity.
