The Judicial Committee supervising the 2025 House of Representatives elections in the New Valley Governorate announced, a short while ago, the numerical limit for counting the committees of the first district in the governorate, which includes the Kharga and Paris centers.
The details of the numerical count included the total number of those present in the first district, 27,565 votes, while the number of invalid votes reached 1,206 votes, and the valid votes reached 26,359 votes out of a total of 83,677 votes eligible to be elected in the first district.
The governorate includes two electoral districts, with a voting bloc of 194,870 male and female voters, distributed among two general committees and 60 subcommittees, with 23 committees in Dakhla, 19 committees in Kharga, 7 committees in Farafra, 7 committees in the Balat center, and 4 committees in the Paris center.
6 candidates in the first district
The first district includes 6 candidates, and the result of the numerical count was that the candidate Ahmed Al-Aqati – Mostaqbal, received 4,199 votes, Dr. Bahi Abu Moin – Mostaqbal, 4,239, Brigadier Mustafa Yousry, candidate of the National Region Party, received 11,374, Ahmed Abdel Maqsoud Al-Hawari, independent, 105, Ibtisam Haroun, independent, 3,194 votes, Mamdouh Anwar Radwan, independent, 3,248 votes.
With this numerical count, a runoff will be held between the National Front Party candidate, Brigadier General Mustafa Yousry Moaz, and Dr. Bahi Abu Moin, – independent.
In a related context, the work of the general committees in the governorate continues to complete the sorting processes and review the final records of all departments, pending the arrival of the results of the sorting of the Egyptians abroad committees.
The National Elections Authority stresses that these announced results are a preliminary numerical count from the counting committees, and not the final official result. The decisive official result will be announced by the Authority after completing all necessary legal procedures and adjudicating the grievances, within the framework of intensive judicial and executive follow-up to ensure transparency and accuracy in announcing the results.
