The Alexandria Sanitation Company announced that, starting this Tuesday evening, all the emergency teams and equipment of the Sanitation Company were deployed in the Alexandria areas, in preparation for the expected rains in Nawat al-Maknessa, which the Meteorological Authority noted would hit the governorate starting tomorrow evening, Wednesday.
Sanitation preparations included preventing all vacations for workers, deploying emergency teams, disinfecting the shanayesh and the toilets, and reducing the septic tank levels.

The sanitation company confirmed the presence of all workers to follow up on responding to citizens’ reports from the affected areas, confirming that reports are received other than the company’s emergency line 175.
The head of the Alexandria Sanitation Company had inspected the mechanical campaign sectors and the central laboratories in preparation for the upcoming nuclear campaign. Within the framework of continuous field follow-up and the Alexandria Sanitation Company’s keenness to develop the work system and raise the efficiency of performance within its various sectors, Engineer Sami Qandil, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, undertook an inspection tour that included the mechanical campaign sector, the workshops, and the central laboratories sector.
During the tour, Engineer Sami Qandil witnessed the lining up of cars and equipment, and was briefed on their technical readiness in preparation for the upcoming crisis, stressing the importance of complete readiness and rapid response to deal with any potential emergency. He also followed up on periodic maintenance work and the level of preparedness of the work teams, praising the efforts of the workers and technicians in maintaining the efficiency of the equipment and continuity of operation, and directing the need to intensify efforts during the coming period to ensure the stability of the sewage system in all areas of the governorate.
