Reaching a settlement to transfer 200 Hamas fighters trapped in the Palestinian Rafah tunnels

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that Washington and Tel Aviv reached an agreement to remove 200 Hamas fighters present in the tunnels of the Palestinian city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to the Hebrew media, a settlement was reached to transfer 200 Hamas fighters trapped in the Rafah tunnels.

The Hebrew media claimed that no country agreed to receive Hamas fighters trapped in Rafah after their deportation.

Hamas fighters besieged in Rafah

Sources revealed to Al Arabiya channel details of meetings that took place at the US command headquarters in southern Israel, including the US envoy Jared Kushner and Yasser Abu Shabab, the leader of the so-called anti-Hamas popular forces in the Gaza Strip.

The discussions that took place between Kushner and Abu Shabab focused on the role of the latter’s forces in the recent developments in the Gaza Strip, specifically, securing the exit of Hamas fighters. The role of Abu Shabab’s forces in securing the exit of Hamas fighters from the Rafah tunnels was discussed, within the context of the efforts made in the region.
