Abu Dhabi – WAM, Snowmed International, the global body responsible for developing clinical standards, has approved Abu Dhabi Health Data Services Company, affiliated with the M42 Group, as a global reference site for standardizing clinical data and applying the Snowmed CT standard. This accreditation comes as a culmination of the success of the “Malafi” platform, the first health information exchange network in the Middle East and North Africa region, and one of the strategic initiatives of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, in the comprehensive and wide-ranging application of the “SnowMed CT” standard for unifying clinical data, which makes the Abu Dhabi Health Data Services Company a role model for achieving coherence and integration in health care systems at both levels.
