Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, reviewed a report from Engineer Khaled Siddiq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Development Fund, on arrangements for the launch of the 2025 Fustat Winter Festival, which will be hosted by Fustat Hills Park, next Friday.
The 2025 Fustat Hills Park Winter Festival will start next Friday
The Prime Minister appreciated the idea of holding a winter festival in Fustat Hills Park, stressing that it comes in connection with one of the most important goals of this project, which is to promote this site as a distinctive entertainment and tourist destination, in the heart of Cairo, with a charming nature, and overlooking many historical and archaeological destinations.
In turn, engineer Khaled Siddiq pointed out that the Fustat Hills Park project came within a vision to restore the urban facade of Cairo, by adding green spaces to the heart of Cairo on an area of nearly 500 acres, in the Old Cairo area, Cairo Governorate, where “Fustat Hills” is among the largest parks of its kind in the Middle East, and includes many activities that depend on reviving Egyptian heritage throughout various eras, as well as many cultural, entertainment, and commercial activities, hotel services, and outdoor theatres, in addition to An area of ancient monuments and excavations, and an area of heritage gardens, pointing out that this project integrates the idea of holding the first winter festival in the heart of Cairo, similar to the New Alamein City Festival, which is held during the summer season and attracts a wide audience.
Engineer Khaled Seddik explained that the Urban Development Fund is launching the Fustat Winter Festival 2025, whose activities will be held under the slogan “Fustat is Back Again,” from the Arena Theater, in Fustat Hills Park, as a step towards reviving the heritage in this charming location, as a continuation of the opening celebrations of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The festival will start from November 14 until next December 5, and will witness the organization of concerts performed by the biggest Egyptian stars. The first concert to launch the Fustat Winter Festival will be an evening held by him. The great musician Omar Khairat will take place on Friday, November 14, and then other concerts will be held with the participation of the artist Amal Maher, the artist Tamer Ashour, the artist Ahmed Saad, the artist Marwan Moussa, and many other stars.
