Vatel Bahrain College of Hospitality signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen its partnership with the Downtown Rotana Hotel, as part of its ongoing endeavors to consolidate its cooperative relations with leading hospitality sector establishments in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in confirmation of its commitment to supporting the practical training process of its students and developing qualified national competencies in the growing hospitality sector.

The renewal of the partnership comes as an extension of Vattel Bahrain’s keenness to provide distinguished opportunities for students within a real, upscale hospitality environment, which contributes to refining their professional skills and developing their practical experiences in line with the international hospitality standards that characterize the Rotana hotel chain.

Commenting on the sidelines of the signing of the memorandum of understanding, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Vatel Bahrain College of Hospitality, stressed that strengthening the partnership with the Downtown Rotana Hotel reflects the strong relations between the two sides, and the joint commitment to providing practical experiences for national cadres that allow them to apply academic knowledge in a realistic work environment, which is an essential foundation in preparing future leaders in the hospitality sector.

He added that this partnership provides Vatel Bahrain students with ideal opportunities to acquire professional skills in an advanced five-star work environment, and training experiences in the fields of hospitality, tourism and hospitality across the hotel’s various departments, which brings them closer to the reality of the industry in which they are preparing to engage, and qualifies them at the best levels.

For his part, General Manager of Downtown Rotana Hotel, Nicolas Gardier, said: “We are proud of our ongoing partnership with Vatel Bahrain College, which has proven over the past years its vital role in supplying the hospitality sector in the Kingdom with qualified young talents who are enthusiastic about advancing the sector. We are also proud of our role in supporting education and practical training for hospitality students as it is an important investment in the future of the hospitality industry at the local and regional levels.”
