The Minister of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, confirmed that the basic contracts for more than 60% of the pilgrims for the upcoming season have been completed so far, with the remaining percentage being completed before the middle of the next month of Rajab, that is, 4 months before the season.

This came during the launch of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition from Mecca to the World, which continues until the twelfth of November, with wide participation from various countries of the world, to embody Saudi Arabia’s position in serving the guests of God.
The conference is a global event that brings together more than 150 countries, 270 exhibitors, and 225 speakers, and includes 143 sessions and workshops, while the number of visitors is expected to exceed 150,000.
It will be held on an area of more than 60 thousand square meters, with the participation of 18 sectors representing the Hajj and Umrah system, and covers 3 main tracks that branch out into 12 specialized axes, and witnesses the signing of more than 800 cooperation and partnership agreements.
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, confirmed in his opening speech that the launch of the conference comes as a continuation of the success process that began on the thirteenth of Dhu al-Hijjah, where the journey of early preparation for the Hajj season of 1447 AH began with organized work and integrated coordination under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Hajj led by the Saudi Minister of Interior, and with the participation of more than 60 government agencies affiliated with the Hajj Projects Management Office.
He explained that aspirations have turned into tangible achievements for pilgrims and visitors, as 50% of the holy sites have been completed to be fully ready on the first of Dhul-Qa’dah, in addition to equipping more than 40% of residential and hotel buildings in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, and launching 30 programs to develop service-providing companies with the aim of raising operating efficiency and improving the quality of services provided to the guests of God.
Al-Rabiah pointed out that technology continues its vital role in facilitating the journey of pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims, as the number of users of the Nusk application has exceeded 40 million users around the world, benefiting from more than 100 digital services that facilitate the performance of the ritual and improve the experience. He stressed that the application is now entering a new stage of development through the Nusk AI feature, which relies on artificial intelligence and allows pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims to interact in their different languages and obtain immediate guidance and information during their journey.
Regarding the health aspect, the Minister stressed the continued commitment to the health capacity standard for the upcoming Hajj season, in a way that ensures the safety of pilgrims and the preservation of their health in a safe and sustainable environment, pointing to the implementation of awareness and educational programs in more than 30 countries to raise the health awareness of pilgrims before their arrival in Saudi Arabia.
He also stated that the efforts of the Ministry and partners resulted in the development of 71 historical sites in Mecca and Medina, which received more than 3 million visitors, and their satisfaction rate reached more than 95%. He stressed that the conference comes in partnership with the King Abdulaziz Foundation to highlight the qualitative development achieved by Saudi Arabia in serving the guests of God and transforming the Hajj journey from a arduous experience to an easy and safe one that keeps pace with the aspirations of the times.
