The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, issued a decision specifying the amount of insurance for the cleanliness of non-commercial camp sites that are established during the camping season in the Southern Governorate.
The decision stipulated that the insurance amount be set at 100 Bahraini dinars for each site, to be paid to the Municipality of the Southern Region upon registration, with the aim of enhancing commitment to cleanliness and preserving the environment during the camping season.
The decision also obligated camp owners to remove waste and clean the sites within a week of the end of the season, with the deposit amount to be returned after ensuring their commitment to do so. In the event of a violation, the municipality may use the insurance amount to cover cleaning costs or require the violator to pay any additional costs.
The decision shall be effective from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
This year’s land season is scheduled to start from December 5, 2025 to March 25, 2026, and registration opens from November 20 to 30.
