In a solemn celebration dominated by an atmosphere of pride and gratitude, the International Organization for Tolerance and World Peace, in cooperation with the Misr El Mahrousa Academy for Media, Journalism, Training, Studies and Information Technology, announced that humanitarian activist Duaa Youssef Al-Ajmi was awarded the title of “Ambassador of Humanity, World Peace and Volunteer Work”, in appreciation of her great efforts in serving humanitarian and charitable causes, and her continued contribution to spreading the values of tolerance, coexistence and peace among peoples.
This honor was the culmination of a career full of giving and community work, as Al-Ajmi devoted her time and efforts to supporting volunteer and charitable initiatives, launching humanitarian programs that seek to empower vulnerable groups, and enhance the spirit of social responsibility.
It also played a prominent role in spreading the culture of peace and social peace in the Arab region, through its initiatives that combined the humanitarian dimension and the strategic vision of serving people wherever they are.
In a speech delivered by Dr. Raafat Ahmed Al-Khamsawi, President of the Misr Al-Mahrousa Academy for Media, Journalism, Training, Studies and Information Technology, praised the distinguished humanitarian giving embodied by Doaa Al-Ajmi, saying: “Crowning Professor Doaa Youssef Al-Ajmi with this title is not just a symbolic honor, but rather a well-deserved recognition of the efforts of a person who has made humanitarian work an approach, and helping others a life’s mission.
You have set an example of giving without borders and contributed to strengthening the values of tolerance and cooperation, which is completely in line with the goals of the International Organization for Tolerance and World Peace under whose umbrella we work.”
Al-Khamsawi added that this honor comes within the framework of the Academy’s initiative to shed light on personalities who have left an influential mark on their societies, stressing that the spirit of volunteerism and humanitarian work is the basic foundation for any real and sustainable progress in societies.
For her part, Doaa Youssef Al-Ajmi expressed her happiness with this title, considering it an incentive to continue her humanitarian mission with greater passion. She said in her speech: “This honor honors me greatly, but at the same time it holds me with a greater responsibility towards humanity. Volunteer work is not just a charitable activity, but rather a way of life that stems from the belief that we are all partners in building a world where love and peace prevail. I will, God willing, continue every effort that contributes to spreading the values of tolerance, helping the needy, and inspiring generations.” What is new is that goodness does not require huge resources, but rather sincere intention and real will.”
She added: “This honor means a lot to me, as it is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning towards more humanitarian giving. I have learned that volunteer work is a sublime message that gives life its true meaning, and that the more a person gives from his heart, the richer and more loved he becomes.”
I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Professor Abdulaziz Al-Sindi, President of the Bahrain Voluntary Work Society, who had the credit, after God, in putting me on this beautiful humanitarian path, and I have all respect and gratitude for him.”
The event concluded with a special tribute to Al-Ajami in the presence of a number of public figures, media figures, and representatives of civil society organizations, who praised her influential humanitarian role and her continuous volunteer efforts. The attendees stressed that her initiatives represent a bright model for Arab women who combined giving and work, humanity and creativity, to truly become a symbol of human peace and global giving.
With this honor, a new page is added to Doaa Yousef Al-Ajmi’s record of achievements, as she continues her journey as an ambassador for goodness and peace in a world that needs more than ever voices that carry within them the light of humanity and the warmth of compassion.
Doaa Al-Ajmi holds the position of Development Director at Al-Rahla newspaper – the first and largest Arab tourism newspaper – and is also one of the founders of the Arab Tourism Media Club.
