The investigation authorities in Giza began investigating blogger Nisreen Hegazy after she was arrested within the Hadayek Al-Ahram area on the grounds that she was accused of publishing pictures and clips that were offensive to public modesty on social media sites.

The security services monitored the circulation of a number of clips in which the accused appears performing inappropriate movements and gestures, with the aim of increasing viewership rates and achieving financial profits from electronic platforms.
After codifying the procedures, she was seized, and 3 mobile phones containing graphic materials were found in her possession, confirming her involvement in publishing violating content.
The investigating authorities are listening to the accused’s statements about the content of the clips and her goal in publishing them, and they have also ordered an examination of her electronic accounts to take the necessary legal measures.
