The French Ministry of Finance has halted the suspension procedures for the Chinese online retailer Shein, which began two days ago, after the Chinese store withdrew all violating products from its platforms.

According to what was published by Reuters, the French government began measures to ban SheIn in France on Wednesday after discovering the presence of child-like sex dolls and weapons for sale on the online store, on the same day that the fast fashion company opened its first physical store in a major department store in Paris.
The ministry said, in a new statement, that the French Consumer Protection Authority noted on Friday that all illegal products, including medicines, were no longer available on Shein. The ministry added that Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu requested a re-evaluation of the situation next week, noting that Shein would remain under close monitoring by state agencies.
The company said in a statement: Shein remains committed to dialogue with the French authorities to address the concerns raised and present the measures we have taken to continue improving.
The Prime Minister added in a separate statement that the judicial proceedings seeking to suspend the platform were not affected by Friday’s decision. The Ministry of the Interior has filed a case against Shein before a court in Paris, while the Public Prosecutor has initiated four investigations into the sale of sex dolls, and customs will continue to monitor all goods it confiscated.
