Ambassador Mohamed El Badry met with Florian Hahn, Minister of State at the German Foreign Ministry, where they discussed ways to strengthen economic relations between Egypt and Germany, and the ongoing efforts towards attracting more German investments to Egypt, and cooperation in the field of vocational training and labor transfer.
The German Minister of State stressed that Egypt is one of Germany’s most important partners in the Middle East region, expressing his country’s keenness to develop economic relations with Egypt, and thanked Egypt for the pivotal role it plays in establishing peace in the Middle East and the existing efforts to resolve the crisis in Gaza.
Establishing a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip
Ambassador Al-Badri reviewed the ongoing Egyptian efforts to stabilize the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and the existing coordination with various partners in connection with all issues related to the situation in Gaza, including reconstruction. He reviewed the ongoing efforts for Egypt to host an international conference for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza, and looked forward to Germany’s participation in it among the countries participating in holding it, which was welcomed by the German Minister of State, stressing his country’s aspiration to actively participate in the conference and contribute to the reconstruction of the Strip, and expressed his thanks. to Egypt in this regard.
