Exciting competition in the second stage of the Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Tour

The Nasser bin Hamad Tour for amateur bicycles continued in its fifth edition, organized by the Bahrain Cycling Federation and in cooperation with Events Company.

The second day of the Tour witnessed the organization of the second stage for a distance of 65 kilometers, amidst exciting competition between participants from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and residents of the Kingdom.

Mr. Ahmed Al-Hajj, Chairman of the Tour’s Organizing Committee, crowned the winners of the first places, and the cyclist Saad Talal Al-Saadi from the Bahrain Giant team was able to win first place in the second stage of the Bahraini amateur category, and the second place came to the cyclist Muhammad Hassan Jawad from the same team.

The team, and third place was Hassan Aqeel Thamer from the TriLife team.

Cyclist Abdulaziz Saleh Al Hamri was able to win the yellow jersey sponsored by Bapco Energies for the overall leader in the Bahraini Amateur category, in addition to winning the blue jersey in the under-23 category sponsored by Marassi Galleria. Cyclist Mohammed Hassan Jawad won the red jersey for the rider with the highest points in the overall standings, sponsored by Pune Company, while cyclist Aqeel Hassan won the green jersey for first place in the over-40 category sponsored by Al Salam Bank.

In the category of Gulf nationals and Bahraini national team players with residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the second stage, first place was achieved by cyclist Saeed Hassan from the Dubai Police team, second place was achieved by Hilal Jaber Al Harbi from the Victorious 1 team, and third place was won by Majid Saeed Al Khatri from the Airwerk team.

The orange jersey went to the winner of first place in the overall standings, cyclist Hilal Jaber Al-Harbi, sponsored by Bapco Energies, who also won the gray jersey for the rider with the highest points in the overall standings, sponsored by Pune Company. The pink jersey for the over-40 category went to cyclist David Bliss, sponsored by Al Salam Bank, and the purple jersey for the under-23 category, Mahdi Hassan Jawad, sponsored by Marassi Galleria.

The third stage will be held on Friday morning for a distance of 130 kilometers from Marassi Galleria to Blage Aljazair, as this stage is one of the most prominent stages that highlights the beauty of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the diversity of its landmarks. The contestants travel through a number of vital and touristic areas, passing through modern cities and historical sites that reflect the spirit of authenticity and development.
