Amer Sabry, general coach of the first football team at Zamalek Club, expressed his great happiness over the victory over Pyramids and qualifying for the local Super Cup final, stressing that the victory came at the expense of a strong and respected team with great experience in African and local tournaments.
Amer Sabry: I am proud that Zamalek has qualified for the final… and our goal is to return to Egypt with the Super Cup
Sabri said in statements to the club’s media center: “The technical staff prepared for the match well, and we dealt with the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent, and we succeeded in achieving the desired goal of qualifying for the final.”
He added: “The final match against Al-Ahly will have special considerations, and we will work with all our might to return to Egypt with the Super Cup and make Zamalek fans happy.”
The general coach sent a special message to the fans of the White Castle, saying: “I thank the great fans of Zamalek Club for their constant support for us, and I reassure them that they have a great team and players at the highest level, and we will do everything in our power to make them happy with the championships.”
Zamalek had achieved victory over Pyramids by a score of 5-4 on penalties, after the match ended in a goalless draw, in the match that was held at Al Nahyan Stadium in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, setting a date with Al-Ahly in the final match scheduled for next Sunday.
