The Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, said that Türkiye is committed to delivering humanitarian aid, establishing a ceasefire, and reconstructing Gaza.
The ambassador noted that Turkey played an active role in the peace plan signed in Sharm El-Sheikh on October 13, 2025 with Egypt, the United States, and Qatar, expressing that Turkey will continue its efforts to establish peace and stability.
The ambassador stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi carried out a historic mission by hosting the peace summit, noting that Gaza is going through a critical stage.
H. The Ambassador’s speech during the “Long Live Gaza” event organized by the Embassy of Türkiye in Cairo, in cooperation with the Embassy of Palestine and the Foundation for Humanitarian Relief, Human Rights and Freedoms (İHH), on Wednesday.
He expressed that the slogan of all Palestinians, the Islamic world and the international community with conscience after this stage should be “Long live Gaza,” and that the Sharm El-Sheikh summit had provided an opportunity to achieve peace and reconstruction by making the ceasefire permanent.

The ambassador also indicated that he gladly followed Hamas’ commitment to its ceasefire responsibilities, based on what Turkey, Egypt and Qatar urged.
He stressed that Turkey continues its humanitarian assistance for the well-being, security, survival and reconstruction of Gaza and the Palestinian people, explaining that to date they have hosted more than 1,000 people from Gaza at the ambassador’s residence within the framework of solidarity and assistance activities, and that material and moral support activities such as health and food aid and rent will continue in cooperation with Turkish and Egyptian official and civil institutions.
The ambassador also drew attention to the work initiated by the Palestinian Embassy regarding the return of Gazans to Gaza, expressing his satisfaction at noting that a large number of people responded to this call, and recommended that Gazans residing in Egypt who meet the conditions for return to return to Gaza as soon as possible.
Also in his speech, Ambassador Shen stated that the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum represents a historic turning point for Egypt, and that the month of October represents a period full of victories and achievements for Egypt.
The ambassador explained that Türkiye welcomes Egypt’s successes in the fields of culture, art, industry and technology, and that cooperation between the two countries will continue and deepen in all fields.
Ambassador Saleh Matlo Shin also touched on the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, stressing that the recent period was marked by important achievements for Egypt.
Shen stressed that the success in holding the Sharm El-Sheikh summit, the election of Dr. Khaled El-Anani as Director-General of UNESCO, and the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in a solemn ceremony in the presence of many high-level delegations made this period good and blessed, just like the October 6 victory, expressing that the months of October and November have become “two blessed months” for Egypt.
