Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Dr. witnessed. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Information, launches the activities of the fourth session of the Bahrain Theater Festival, organized by the Union of Bahraini Dramatists Associations.
On this occasion, the Minister of Information confirmed that the organization of the fourth session of the festival comes in an exceptional year that witnesses the celebration of the centenary of Bahraini theatre, and embodies the high position that theater occupies in the national conscience, its pioneering role in consolidating cultural and human values, and highlighting Bahraini creativity through a process full of giving that has extended over a century.
He appreciated the support and high attention received by the cultural movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which contributed to strengthening the environment supportive of creativity in various fields of arts and culture.
He also noted the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the festival, which reflects interest in encouraging the national theatrical and artistic movement and supporting promising Bahraini talents.
The Minister of Information expressed his pride in the qualitative works presented by Bahraini creators in various fields of theater that embody the spirit of creativity and reflect the Kingdom of Bahrain’s distinguished artistic energies that have contributed to consolidating the status of Bahraini theatre.
He also praised the festival’s honoring of a group of Bahraini theater icons who enriched the theatrical scene with pioneering contributions throughout their artistic careers full of giving.
