The Technical Assistant to the Commander of the Royal Medical Services and Acting Director of the Military Hospital, Brigadier General Doctor Muhammad Ahmed, said that Bahraini Doctor’s Day represents a national occasion in which we are proud of every doctor who has dedicated his life to serving human health and has risen to the highest ranks of professionalism and humanity, stressing that Bahraini medical personnel continue their path of loyalty and excellence based on the support of the leadership and its insightful vision towards creating a qualitative shift in the national health sector.
He added that the Bahraini doctor has proven at every stage his ability to pioneer and innovate, and that he possesses the knowledge and ability that qualifies him to compete globally, stressing continued investment in developing medical and leadership skills in a way that supports the sustainability of health progress and enhances Bahrain’s position as a leading destination in comprehensive and advanced care.
The Bahrain Defense Force Military Hospital began its activity as a small clinic in 1968, when the activities of this unit were limited to primary health care. In 1979, the hospital was established with a capacity of 120 beds. Since that time, the Military Hospital has continued to grow and its medical services have expanded to become the second largest hospital in Bahrain, where it now includes 500 beds. We are proud of our distinguished history, and we are keen to continue improving and strengthening our commitment to providing the highest levels of quality in health care with high efficiency.
