The competent court punished the accused of poisoning a number of dogs in Al-Ahram Gardens with 6 months imprisonment, after filing reports against an unknown person who poisoned dogs in the area.

Earlier, the security services of the Giza Security Directorate arrested the accused of poisoning a number of dogs in Al-Ahram Gardens after filing reports against an unknown person poisoning dogs in the area, and a number of them were found dead as a result of being poisoned.
A number of lawyers filed a report at the police department after 11 poisoned dogs were found in the Hadayek Al-Ahram area of Giza Governorate.
The details of the incident go back to when a group of lawyers found 8 dead dogs with signs of poisoning in the Hadayek Al-Ahram area, which prompted them to go to the security services and write a report about the incident.
Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, assigned the executive authorities to quickly deal with what was circulated on social media during the past hours, regarding the death of a number of stray dogs in the Hadayek Al-Ahram area.
A committee from the Al-Haram neighborhood, including veterinarians from the Department of Public Health and Common Diseases, accompanied by representatives of the civil society coordinators who submitted the complaint, went to the Al-Balagh site to inspect the situation in person and conduct a virtual examination of the dead dogs.
The examination revealed the presence of 2 dead dogs in Area H, 7 dead dogs in Area E, and 2 dead dogs next to the outer wall of the second gate, bringing the total number of what was detected to be only 11 dead dogs, and they were removed, dealt with, and buried in the sanitary landfill designated for that purpose, with the rest of the legal process of the incident being completed by the concerned authorities and in cooperation with the Public Prosecution.
