The head of the defense panel for the head of the Sharq district in Alexandria, H.Z.L., who is accused of receiving a bribe, revealed the details of the second trial session following his appearance before the panel this morning.

He explained in statements after the session that his client was brought before him and requested that an official copy be extracted from a case related to the same lawsuit, and that it be included in the same case due to its importance in the lawsuit.
He also requested the presence of the former Secretary General of the Center and City of Mahalla during the accusation incident, in addition to presenting the mobile phones in the defendant’s possession to technical assistance to unload them because they contain evidence proving the good faith of his client and clarifying that the financial sums were by way of a loan and not a bribe.
The head of the defense team indicated that the court responded to the request to allow filming of the case, stressing that if all requests are implemented, the defense team will be ready to plead in the next session in December.
The Alexandria Criminal Court decided to postpone the trial of H.Z.A. The head of the Sharq district accused of receiving a bribe during his presidency of the Mahalla al-Kubra City Council, for the December 7 session.
The decision was headed by Counselor Abdel-Hay Abdullah Baqoush, President of the Court, and with the membership of Counselor Ayman Abdullah Abu Ghazaleh and Counselor Muhammad Saeed Abdel Hamid.

During the investigations, the district president denied the accusations against him, stressing that he had obtained the money through the bank and that it was a loan, not a bribe.
