Ms. Maryam Salah Burshid, mathematics teacher at Busaiteen Primary School for Girls, turned the lesson on “casting with columns” into an interactive experience that simulates the atmosphere of travel in airports, making abstract mathematical concepts a vibrant educational journey.
This came as part of its efforts to implement teaching methods that take into account the age group of primary school students, and rely on excitement and interactivity, to make this important basic subject attractive, smooth, and easy to understand.
The teacher said that she made the classroom environment into the image of a miniature airport, using a symbolic flight crew of her students, and models and drawings of miniature airplanes, so that the students would have an interactive educational experience similar to an air flight, during which they would move between educational stations that combined fun and knowledge, which gave the lesson an enjoyable character.
She indicated that she employed artificial intelligence techniques to transform digital data into interactive visual displays, which helped the students analyze and comprehend the information easily, and contributed to raising the level of participation and attention within the classroom.
She stressed that the goal of this experience is to instill the values of cooperation, belonging, and a love of teamwork, in addition to consolidating national identity with a modern educational method that combines play and learning, stressing that mathematics, if presented in a spirit of creativity, can be a gateway to excellence and the development of logical and creative thinking skills.
This comes within the efforts of national cadres to develop educational services in government schools, under the supervision and support of specialists at the Ministry of Education.
