Takaful International Company announced the appointment of Mr. Yousef Al-Hamar as Head of the Individual Takaful and Quality Control Department, effective this November. The appointment of Mr. Al-Hamar comes within the plan to develop and expand the company’s activities to keep pace with the growth in the company’s business.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Al-Hamar previously held the position of Head of the Takaful and Re-Takaful Companies Supervision Unit at the Central Bank of Bahrain, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening regulatory oversight, developing supervisory frameworks, and supporting the sustainable growth of the Islamic insurance industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition to his work as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Vehicle Accident Compensation Fund, where he supervised governance, claims and investment affairs.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Al-Hamar holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Finance from (Coventry University) in the United Kingdom. He also holds a number of professional certificates, most notably the Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), the title of Certified Insurance Practitioner from the British Chartered Insurance Institute, and the Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practices (CMI Level 7) from the Chartered Management Institute.

In his new position, Mr. Al-Hamar will lead the Individual Takaful and Quality Control Department, focusing on enhancing the efficiency of operational performance, ensuring the highest quality standards in service, and consolidating Takaful International’s commitment to providing insurance solutions focused on valued customers.
