The Emirates Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science participated in the “Eighth Objective of the Moonshot Initiative” symposium, which was held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, with the participation of an elite group of experts and specialists in the fields of meteorology, engineering, mathematical sciences, and the humanities and social sciences, with the aim of discussing new methods and technologies to reduce the effects of extreme weather phenomena. Alia Al Mazrouei, Director of the Emirates Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science, delivered a keynote speech on the second day of the symposium, during which she reviewed the programme’s vision, its current research efforts, and its future directions.
