The Northern Municipal Council recommended opening an entrance between roundabouts (2) and (3) leading to the Hamad Town Health Center in Complex (1205), submitted by council member representing the ninth district, Abdullah Bilal, with the aim of reducing traffic congestion and improving the flow of movement in the area.
Bilal explained that the proposal came in response to residents’ complaints about daily crowding resulting from high population density and the presence of a number of vital facilities such as the health center, schools, stadium, and gas station, which causes delays for visitors and disruption to the movement of ambulances at peak times.
The Council unanimously approved the recommendation, calling for a speedy decision on the proposal given the urgent need to reduce traffic pressure on the area.
