The Saudi businessman and managing partner at Startup Boot Camp, Khaled Al-Saflan, revealed the signing of the first agreement in Bahrain with the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, aiming to create 160 start-up companies within 3 years, noting that the Bahrain office includes 11 employees, more than half of whom are Bahrainis.

Al-Saflan pointed out, in a press statement on the sidelines of the third edition of the Gulf Gate Forum, that Bahrain provides investors, especially those working in the technology sector, with a promising environment and unlimited support, and this was demonstrated in the distinguished presence of the elite of business and finance men at the forum, and the agreement that was signed with the Labor Fund “Tamkeen” with the aim of attracting the “Startup Boot Camp” company to Bahrain, and the partnership in the technology sector in the Kingdom with international companies to support and develop entrepreneurial ideas and turn them into successful projects.

Al-Saflan explained that the “Startup Boot Camp” company aims to attract companies working in technology and art and support them by providing expertise and technical support to make qualitative ideas successful and transform them into projects with economic returns.

He said: “Most of our activities are in fintech, technology, finance, health and innovation. Our company is the first outside America and the third with American companies working in this field, which works to combine global and regional ideas. We feel that our future in Bahrain and the Gulf will be strong, and we have an office in Bahrain that includes 11 employees, more than half of whom are Bahrainis.”

Regarding the agreement with “Tamkeen,” he explained that it is the first agreement through which “Startup Boot Camp” seeks to open more contracts with other companies in Bahrain.

He continued, “We started 3 months ago, and during the next six months, we will come up with a group of targeted companies, where we will offer them our expertise in company growth tools.”
