The Beni Suef Health Directorate organized a therapeutic medical convoy in the village of Salem Al-Behairi, affiliated with the Al-Fashn Center, over the course of two days, Saturday and Sunday, corresponding to November 1 and 2, as part of the activities of the Presidential Initiative, A Decent Life, to provide free health care to citizens in the villages most in need, while implementing preventive and precautionary measures.
Health provides 3,000 free services within a medical convoy in Al-Fashn in Beni Suef
Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, stressed the importance of continuing to organize these medical convoys, which contribute to alleviating the burdens on citizens and ensuring the access of health services to remote areas, noting the governorate’s keenness to maintain permanent coordination with the Health Directorate to achieve the maximum benefit from the presidential initiative.
Dr. Hani Jumah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, explained that the convoy included 8 clinics in 7 specialties: internal medicine, children, surgery, women, dermatology, family planning, and dentistry. Dr. Yasser Khairy Al-Sharqawi, the convoy coordinator, Dr. Muhammad Khalaf Abdel Hamid, the medical supply official, Taha Kamal Hajjaj, the financial and administrative official, Eid Faraj Faraj, the information official, and Ahmed Muhammad Ajami, the site preparation and clinics official, participated in its implementation.
The convoy’s work resulted in the medical examination of 1,051 patients and the provision of free treatment to them, and the conduct of 81 ultrasound cases, 5 regular x-ray cases, 18 blood tests, and 36 parasitology tests, in addition to referring a case for medical reports at state expense.
Health education seminars were also held, benefiting 160 citizens, which covered various topics, most notably: prevention of the Corona virus, family planning, breast cancer, food safety, the dangers of misuse of medications, the importance of breastfeeding, and the physiological changes of women after menopause. As part of early detection of chronic diseases, 300 citizens were examined to measure blood pressure and sugar, bringing the total number of services provided to 3,122 free medical services to the people of the village and neighboring areas.
