At this time of last year’s Manama Dialogue, the fall of the previous regime in Syria and the beginning of a new era was announced. Yesterday, Damascus participated again in the 2025 Manama Dialogue after years of interruption, in a step that expresses the return of the Syrian presence to the Arab and international arena with a vision based on development and peace.
In a special statement to Al-Watan, the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, confirmed on the sidelines of his participation in the dialogue that the Kingdom of Bahrain was one of the first countries to support Syria from the beginning of the new regime in Syria until today, praising its firm positions alongside the Syrian people.
Regarding investment opportunities between the two countries, Al-Shaibani confirmed that investment opportunities exist between Syria and Bahrain.
Al-Shaibani said: “We know Bahrain not only through the Manama Dialogue, but also from its positions in support of Syria at various stages, and we value this support, especially during the transitional phase that our country is going through.”
He added that Syria’s participation in the Manama Dialogue comes to strengthen its role in international forums, and to open new horizons for Arab and regional cooperation, noting that the new Syrian vision stems from development, peace, and openness to economic partnerships.
