Khaled Fathi, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation, expressed his great happiness with what the junior handball team presented at the World Cup, stressing that this achievement is the result of teamwork and dedication from all members of the system, explaining that everyone is very happy and is working to raise Egypt’s name high.
Statements by the President of the Handball Federation
Khaled Fathi said in press statements: We are proud to be Egyptians and play in the name of Egypt. We sought to write history with great support from all sides, and our goal was clear, which was to win the World Cup.
The president of the Handball Federation added: I praise the technical staff led by Captain Imad Ibrahim and thank him. Our technical staff is pure Egyptian and has succeeded in writing his name in golden letters in history, and the players are men who deserved to reach the final.
The President of the Handball Federation pointed out that reaching the final and defeating European champions Spain did not come out of nowhere, but rather as a result of careful planning and benefiting from all previous experiences. We faced them friendlyly, studied them well, and succeeded, thanks to God, in surpassing them in the most important moment.
Khaled Fathi concluded his statements: Special thanks must be given to the leaders of Egyptian sports, led by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the Minister of Youth and Sports, who provided all means of support and approached this generation with his care. He was the last to bid farewell to them before traveling to the World Cup and asked them to return for the World Cup. Also, all thanks and appreciation go to Engineer Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, who supports with all his strength and fulfills and responds to any request immediately. He contributes to developing the game and supporting the teams, and this spirit is what creates achievement and formulates success.
