The US special envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, said that Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa will sign a document in Washington on November 10 with US President Donald Trump for Syria to join the US-led international coalition against ISIS.
Barak told a group of journalists on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue Conference in Bahrain, saying that the Syrian President will join 88 other countries that are partners in the coalition that was established in 2014, when ISIS invaded Syria and Iraq.

Barak added: “We are trying to make everyone partners in this coalition, and this is a big matter for them,” according to the Al-Monitor website, continuing: “Syria’s accession to the international coalition represents a historic shift and a milestone in relations with Washington.”
The US State Department’s historical list of visits by foreign leaders indicates that no former Syrian president has made an official visit to Washington.
