Dr. Mohamed Zein El-Din Hafez, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Population in Assiut Governorate, directed the Medical Services Department of the Health and Population Directorate in the governorate to visit hospitals and suddenly visit Sidfa Central Hospital, in order to follow up on the progress of work and ensure the quality of medical services provided to citizens.

The Director of the Medical Services Department in Assiut continued the regularity of providing therapeutic and awareness services, checking on the level of patients’ satisfaction and listening to their comments and suggestions. The availability of medicines and medical supplies in the stores was also reviewed and the availability of emergency medicines and supplies was ensured…
During his statements, Dr. Gamal El-Nashar, Director of the Medical Services Department at the Health Directorate in Assiut, explained that the tour included following up on the implementation of policies and standards for quality, patient safety, and infection control, in addition to following up on practical training for workers while performing their tasks, as part of the coexistence plan that aims to support cadres and improve performance in the actual work environment.
“Al-Nashar” explained that these field follow-ups come within the framework of continuous keenness to raise the efficiency of performance in hospitals, and to ensure the provision of safe and integrated medical service, noting the importance of achieving the satisfaction of beneficiaries and working to overcome any obstacles that may affect the regularity of health care provision in all health facilities…
The Director of the Medical Services Department at Assiut Health confirmed that the tour resulted in referring some of the violators for investigation at the directorate’s office and fixing some of the negatives on the ground during the tour, directing the need for the night director to be present at the hospital to monitor the regularity of work progress and overcome any obstacles or problems facing the hospital’s staff.
