The video of Sherif Badr Ismail, the cleaning worker who topped the trend due to raising the Albanian flag, from Assiut Governorate, the center of Dayrout, who is 44 years old, received wide praise on social media platforms, especially since he spoke about civility and awareness of the importance of respecting Egypt’s guests, in conjunction with the celebration of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Sherif Badr Ismail, the cleaning worker who topped the trend due to raising the Albanian flag, narrated in exclusive statements to Cairo 24: I did not know that I was filming from afar, nor was I expecting the trend. I was working in my workplace, and I found the flag lying on the ground and I hung it in its place. This is a matter of love for my country and my homeland, and I put it back in its place like the rest of the flags of the countries.

Sherif Badr Ismail, the cleaning worker who topped the trend due to raising the Albanian flag, said: I was in the work area, because I work as a cleaning worker, and the flag fell from the electricity pole and flew in the street among the cars, and I put it back in its place. I thought about our appearance in front of the guests of our country who came to attend the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum. It would not be useful for them to see their country’s flag thrown on the ground.

Sharif’s uncle Badr Ismail, the cleaning worker who topped the trend due to raising the Albanian flag, added: “Egyptians do not need anyone to advise them about their country. This is our country and we have no other country, and it is what is permanent for us. No, what I did is a duty for every Egyptian. I did not know what country’s flag this was, but I thought about the president of this country and said our appearance and position will remain, that is, when he sees his country’s flag lying on the ground like this.”

He continued, I have been working as a cleaner in Cairo for 4 years, and I return to my country in Assiut during the holidays, and my life’s wish is to prepare my daughters and be happy with them. I have 5 daughters, and they are my hope in life, and I only need God’s protection.
