The 6th of October City Development Authority announced the implementation of a comprehensive plan to raise the efficiency of green areas and beautify the entrances and vital axes of the city, within the framework of the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, to intensify agricultural and beautification work in new cities coinciding with the opening activities of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Engineer Mohamed Mustafa, head of the 6th of October City Authority, explained that the plan includes planting new areas along the 26th of July Corridor, the Dahshur Link, and the Oasis Road, in addition to developing public parks and main squares, in a way that reflects the city’s civilized appearance and is in line with the ongoing preparations to receive visitors from all over the world.
He pointed out that the agricultural teams continue to work daily to coordinate the trees, plant seasonal flower seedlings, and intensify regular irrigation of the surfaces, to ensure the sustainability of the aesthetic appearance.
Engineer Hisham Jaafar, Director General of Agriculture, Engineer Rasha Abu Zeid, Assistant Head of the Agency, and Engineer Ali Al-Baili, Director of the Agriculture Department, explained that the administration is working according to a specific time plan to complete all agricultural and beautification works before the opening date, stressing the keenness to highlight the identity of the green city in an appropriate manner.
