The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Egypt, Diab Al-Louh, announced that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will arrive in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, today, Friday, for a two-day official visit, in response to the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to participate in the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Ambassador Al-Louh explained that President Abbas is keen for the Egyptian people to participate in this major national and cultural occasion, which reflects the nobility and authenticity of Egyptian history, noting that the visit embodies the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that bind the Egyptian and Palestinian peoples.
He added that the Palestinian President’s participation in this global event stems from the shared belief in the unity of path and destiny between the two brotherly countries, stressing that the cultural interaction between Egypt and Palestine throughout the ages has formed a fundamental pillar in enriching the common human heritage in the fields of art, science, religion and trade, which reflects the depth of historical and cultural ties between the two peoples since the dawn of history.
