The Egyptian national team is currently undergoing a training camp in Portugal, which includes two friendly matches against the Portuguese national team, with the second match scheduled for next Saturday.

The team’s technical staff, led by Spaniard Pascual, aims to test the largest number of players during the two friendlies, and to check on the physical and technical condition of the team’s members before entering the final stages of preparations for the continental championship.

For its part, the technical staff decided to summon Akram Yousry, the Zamalek player, to compensate for the absence of Omar Castillo, the Al-Ahly player, who left the national team camp after the death of his father.

The Egyptian national team continues its training in high spirits, amid great focus from the players and technical staff to make the most of the preparation period, in an effort to maintain the African Championship title and qualify for the 2027 World Championship.
