He stated that the Ministry’s work teams, with their various technical, engineering and editorial specializations, worked throughout the tournament days in a one-team spirit and with continuous efforts to provide live broadcasts and quality media materials using the latest broadcasting, photography and directing technologies. The media plan included preparing special reports and programs, sending reporters to competition sites, and allocating live segments within the “Sabah Al-Bahrain” and “Good Evening” programs, in addition to daily follow-up through the “Bab Al-Bahrain” program, in a way that enhances the presence of the national media and its role in highlighting the event.
The Director of the Television Department confirmed that this achievement reflects the readiness and competence of the national cadres at Bahrain TV, and demonstrates their ability to carry out professional coverage of major sporting events, thus enhancing the status of the Bahraini media locally, regionally and internationally.
It is worth noting that the media coverage of the tournament included integrated coordination of broadcast across various Bahrain TV channels, transmission and recording of more than seven sports competitions daily using the latest digital systems, in addition to archiving nearly 600 television materials that included various reports, programs and events.
A dual media plan was also implemented in Arabic and English, including live broadcasts from the tournament sites and daily field coverage by television reporters from various competition sites.
