Within the framework of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting of the Asian Youth Games in its third edition, under the high patronage of His Majesty the King of the country, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Information, held a cultural reception held by the Ministry in honor of the Asian delegations participating in the session, in the heritage village in the Ras Hayyan area.
The Minister of Information explained that organizing this event reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to make its hosting of major sporting events a starting point for promoting cultural and civilizational exchange between peoples, and for strengthening ties of love, coexistence and tolerance between the various cultures of the world. This comes as a translation of the lofty royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Pointing out that sport today represents a bridge for human rapprochement and a platform for consolidating the values of friendship, peace and mutual understanding, as well as a means of positive interaction between different cultures and enhancing communication between nations.
He noted that choosing the heritage village as a site for holding the Bahraini Cultural Night embodies the Kingdom’s ancient national heritage and authentic popular heritage that expresses the spirit of Bahrain and its human history, and contributes to highlighting the features of authentic Bahraini culture, and introducing the Kingdom to the distinct cultural and tourism components that make it a leading destination for hosting continental events. And international.
The cultural night included artistic and heritage performances, and a display of traditional crafts, which reflected the richness of Bahraini cultural heritage and highlighted the Kingdom’s solid identity that combines authenticity and modernity.
