
Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the largest single-site aluminum smelter in the world, announces the appointment of Ahmed Mazen Mattar as the new Director of Training, effective October 30, 2025. In this important position, Mattar, a nationally qualified talent, will oversee the planning and implementation of training programs across all company operations, ensuring they are consistent with industry best practices, and supporting the company’s future vision.
Commenting on this appointment, the company’s CEO, Ali Al Baqali, said:

Ahmed Matar has more than 10 years of experience in the field of training and human development, during which he held leadership positions in a number of leading institutions in the Kingdom. It is worth noting that Ahmed holds a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from Al-Ahlia University, in addition to completing international academic programs from the American University of Houston and the British University of Cardiff.
