Al-Ertiqaa Charity Association participated in Tree Week as part of the Kingdom’s environmental activities aimed at enhancing awareness of the importance of trees and their role in preserving the environment and quality of life.
This activity comes as part of the association’s keenness to enhance environmental awareness among pioneers and the local community, and to instill the values of environmental responsibility among young people, enhance their concern for it, and work to achieve the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
The association confirmed that its participation in Tree Week comes within the framework of its commitment to support the national strategy to double afforestation in Bahrain by 2035, and in fulfillment of Bahrain’s commitment to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26).
