The Shubra El-Kheima Criminal Court, Fourth Circuit, sentenced an unemployed man to life imprisonment, on charges of robbing a person at gunpoint. The incidents took place in the Shubra El-Kheima area in Qalyubia Governorate. The session was chaired by Counselor Dr. Reda Ahmed Eid, along with other members of the judiciary, and the court relied on the available evidence to issue its ruling with the maximum penalties.

The case relates to No. 28199 of 2024, Shubra Al-Kheima District, and it highlights the actions of the accused, “Saeed Y. F.”, who is accused of committing a theft crime that occurred under threat on October 3, 2024. The accused had stolen movables and sums of money from the victim, and this was through the use of coercive methods that made the victim unable to resist, which emphasizes the seriousness of this criminal act.

The accused and the unknown person stopped the victim while he was riding his motorcycle. They showed a knife and a tool used by the attackers, which forced the victim to give up his property. These matters are considered an indication of irresponsible behavior that threatens public safety and exposes the lives of citizens to danger, which makes this crime extremely dangerous.

The effects of the coercion exercised on the victim resulted in clear injuries, which led to his being brought to forensic medicine to document those injuries, in addition to the accused’s illegal possession of a knife, which reflects his reckless behavior and strengthens the position of the prosecution, which was seeking to prove the accusations against him. These aspects emerged during the course of the investigations, which helped the court in issuing its fair ruling.
