The Giza Zoo is preparing to receive its visitors after the completion of the expected comprehensive renovation work. The waiting period is expected to extend until the first quarter of 2026, as the new facade of the park will be very distinctive and provide a unique entertainment experience. The historical carpet of the park has made it one of the oldest and most important tourist destinations in Egypt, and with new interventions it will emerge as a cultural and social landmark.
The Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Dr. Alaa Farouk, reviewed the detailed plan for the renovation of the Giza Zoo, where it was emphasized that the design of the upgraded version will reflect the history of the park, taking into account the provision of modern and appropriate services for all visitors. It is not surprising that this development is in line with a comprehensive vision to enhance domestic tourism and enable citizens to enjoy a unique experience.
As for the prices of entry tickets, they have not been announced yet, but it is expected that they will witness changes to keep pace with the size of the improvements that have been made. The park’s director, Alian Heusko, indicated that the prices will remain affordable for everyone while providing special options for students, the elderly, and people with special needs, with the aim of encouraging all segments of society to visit the park and enjoy their time.
Many important developments have been implemented in the park, focusing on natural environments for all types of animals, in addition to modernizing the corridors while preserving the historical character. A modern tunnel has also been designed linking the park to Orman to provide more comfort for visitors, allowing them to enjoy a variety of recreational activities and exciting adventures, which will add a new and exciting character here.
