Table tennis and weightlifting competitions will begin tomorrow, Sunday, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, as part of the Third Asian Youth Games – Bahrain 2025, in addition to the continuation of 3×3 basketball in the Umm Al Hassam and Futsal halls in Khalifa Sports City, amid intense competition for the qualification cards for the final rounds, in addition to boxing and electronic games competitions at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, and show jumping at the Military Federation.
The Umm Al Hassam halls will also witness the holding of handball matches at the end of the group stage, where the Bahraini national team will meet the Saudi national team in an anticipated confrontation to determine the top spot in the first group, while the second match will bring together Iran and Kuwait in a fateful match to determine the identity of the qualifier to the semi-finals, with the confrontation between Kazakhstan and China determining the form of competition in the second group.
The tournament is witnessing an increasing public presence from various Asian communities residing in Bahrain, in addition to Bahraini families who were keen to follow the daily activities, in a distinctive entertainment and organizational atmosphere that confirms the Kingdom’s success in transforming the event into a continental sports festival that consolidates the culture of sports in society.
