Statements by Mai Ezz El-Din
In a podcast with artist Heba Abdel Ghani, Mai discussed her vision for social networking sites, considering them a good means of communication and expression, but she stressed the need not to turn them into a permanent lifestyle. She said: Social media is beautiful, but it has its moments. We cannot live our lives through it and spend all our time on it. She explained that she sometimes interacts with her fans when she is in the mood to do so, but she often prefers to stay away and be quiet, considering that the artist is not obligated to be constantly present on these platforms, as they are an optional space for self-expression and sharing moments with the audience.
Mai emphasized that the positive side of social media appears when users highlight useful humanitarian issues, considering that this type of content is the most valuable and influential.
Speaking about her heart, the famous artist said: My heart is open to every good or innocent person, explaining that the elderly and weak people enter her heart without asking permission because she is affected by their pure nature and their need for love.
Regarding her artistic life, Mai expressed her inclination towards television drama more than cinema, considering that it gives the actor a deeper opportunity to immerse himself in the character. She added: Drama needs a heavy actor, and it allows him to live in the role for a longer period, and I love to live the experience whether I am acting it or following it as a spectator.
