
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, witnessed the mixed martial arts competitions held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, as part of the third Asian Youth Games, which the Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting until October 31, under the generous patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect him. And he took care of him.
His Highness witnessed the mixed martial arts team winning three gold medals, with player Eldar Eldarov winning gold in the 60-kilogram weight, Abdulhakim Babaev winning gold in the 63-kilogram weight, and Ibrahim Khalidov winning gold in the 70-kilogram weight.
The presence of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa played a prominent role in encouraging and supporting the heroes. His Highness expressed his happiness with the strong appearance and high level presented by the Kingdom’s heroes.
His Highness added, “We are proud of the honorable achievements achieved by the mixed martial arts champions in the Asian competition. Obtaining three gold medals confirms that Bahrain is moving steadily towards creating world champions and ascending to the podium in various forums… We confirm our continued support for them to continue to achieve more positive results and raise the Kingdom’s flag high…”
