The closing ceremony of the eighth session of the El Gouna Film Festival was held this evening, Friday, October 24, in the presence of a large number of male and female stars and filmmakers, in a festive atmosphere that witnessed remarkable brilliance on the red carpet.
A large group of stars shined at the ceremony, including Yousra, Laila Elwi, Bushra, Nahed El Sebaei, Hanadi Muhanna, Rania Youssef, Nabil Issa, Amr Wahba and his wife, Sabry Fawaz and his daughter, Intisar and her son, Youssef Othman, Maryam Elkhosht, Dalia Shawky, Amr Youssef and Kinda Alloush, Tamer Hagras, Mays Hamdan, Rania Mansour, Tawana El Gohary, Rana Rais, Sarah Abdel. Al-Rahman, Menna Al-Qai’i and her husband Youssef Hashish, Dhafer Al-Abidin, Nisreen Amin, Hassan Abu Al-Rous, Tariq Al-Erian, and media personality Lamis Al-Hadidi, in addition to a large number of festival guests from Egypt and abroad.
The El Gouna Film Festival is one of the most prominent festivals in the Middle East and North Africa region, as it aims to enhance cultural communication through cinema, and to connect Arab filmmakers with their international counterparts to support cooperation and artistic exchange. It also pays special attention to discovering new talents through the industry’s “CineGouna” platform.
This year, the feature film jury is headed by star Laila Elwi, and the jury includes an elite group of international film personalities with diverse artistic experiences and visions to evaluate the works participating in the various competitions.
