
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority organized a promotional tour in the People’s Republic of China, which included the cities of Shanghai and Guangzhou, with the participation of a number of travel agents and those concerned with the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the aim of promoting the diverse tourism components that the Kingdom abounds, and enhancing cooperation with major Chinese companies specialized in destination management and organizing tourist trips, in line with the objectives of the tourism strategy. 2022-2026, which aims to expand the international cooperation network and enhance the presence of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Chinese market as one of the main targeted markets, by opening new horizons for bilateral partnerships and developing tourism programs that meet the interests and aspirations of Chinese tourists.
During the four-day tour, more than 140 bilateral meetings were held with elite travel and tourism companies and tour operators, including Ctrip (Trip.com Group), Tuniu Travel, Shanghai Airlines Holidays, Guangzhou China Travel Service, and CYTS Tours. Holding, with the broad participation of tourism media representatives and travel influencers, along with representatives of airlines and luxury tour operators. Introductory presentations were also given during which the Bahraini delegation reviewed the elements of tourist attraction that characterize the Kingdom, its unique blend of authenticity and modernity, and the diversity of experiences between cultural, recreational and sports tourism in addition to business tourism, in addition to reviewing the latest projects and advanced infrastructure.
Future opportunities for joint tourism cooperation and exchange of experiences in the fields of marketing and promotion were also discussed, and how to benefit from the direct flights launched by Gulf Air between the Kingdom of Bahrain and both Shanghai and Guangzhou.
The tour concluded with an introductory ceremony, which included artistic performances and video clips that highlighted the cultural richness, authentic heritage and tourism diversity of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
