Dr. Raja Syed Hassan Al-Yousef, Executive Vice President of Government Hospitals, received a delegation from the Malaysian UCSI Group, as part of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of health care and medical education.
The visit included a field tour for the delegation in a number of health facilities and installations, in addition to holding meetings with a number of officials and stakeholders in the health sector, with the aim of getting acquainted with the health care system in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Opportunities to enhance cooperation in the fields of medical education, residency and fellowship programs, and academic training were also discussed, as part of the Kingdom’s efforts towards qualifying highly qualified medical personnel and enhancing the competitiveness of the national health sector.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Malaysian delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation to the government hospitals for the warm reception, praising the level of medical services and infrastructure in government hospitals and the Salmaniya Medical Complex, and the qualitative development it is witnessing that reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s leading position in the field of health care at the regional level.
