His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, received, today at Sakhir Palace, senior guests and heads of delegations participating in the Asian Youth Games in its third edition, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the high patronage of His Majesty the King, in order to greet His Majesty.
At the beginning of the reception, His Majesty welcomed the Kingdom’s guests, thanking them for their attendance at this major continental tournament, and wishing them a pleasant stay in their second country, the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Majesty praised the depth of the good and close historical relations that unite the Kingdom of Bahrain with their brotherly and friendly countries, and the prosperity and development witnessed in joint cooperation in all fields, especially at the youth and sports levels, for the good and interest of everyone. He expressed the Kingdom’s pride in hosting this Asian sports gathering, which contributes to strengthening the bonds of friendship and strengthening the links of cooperation, rapprochement and acquaintance between sports youth, pointing out the important role played by His Majesty. For sports in building bridges of communication and promoting the values of love, coexistence and tolerance between all cultures of the world, stressing that the gathering of young people from various countries of the Asian continent on the territory of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the friendly competition among them, is the real victory for which this tournament was organized.
His Majesty the King praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Asian Games, and the tireless work that their Highnesses are doing to make this tournament’s competitions a success, in order to consolidate The Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a leading sports destination in the region for organizing and hosting various regional, continental and global championships, appreciating the work of all working committees, the fine organization of the opening ceremony and the distinguished preparation for this tournament thanks to the efforts of the loyal people of the Kingdom.
During the meeting, His Majesty the King renewed his congratulations to the sister Kingdom of Morocco on the occasion of the Moroccan team’s victory in the 2025 World Youth Cup, praising His Majesty for their honorable performance in the various stages of the tournament.
For their part, the senior invitees and heads of delegations participating in the Third Asian Youth Games expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for the warm reception and generous hospitality they received, expressing their happiness at being in the Kingdom of Bahrain and attending this large sports gathering that is characterized by a high level of organization, praising the Kingdom of Bahrain’s provision of all capabilities and facilities for participants and visitors. To make this sporting event a success in record time, we wish the Kingdom and its honorable people continued goodness, progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King.
