On October 20, 2025, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Egypt and Algeria, Yevgeny Sobolevsky, presented copies of his credentials to the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf.
According to what the Belarusian embassy in Cairo said in a statement, the two parties discussed an investigation schedule and preparations for Belarusian-Algerian events at various levels in the near future.
Belarusian-Algerian cooperation
The two parties noted the positive trend towards expanding Belarusian-Algerian cooperation in trade and economic affairs, and agreed on the need to intensify contacts between ministries and specialized bodies and expand the legal framework.
Particular emphasis was placed on effective cooperation between the two countries’ foreign ministries, both bilaterally and internationally, according to the embassy.
